Our business has a varied and significant impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a company built on social responsibility, Detsky Mir runs a number of charity and environmental projects each year, and also encourages volunteering among employees. The Company\u2019s mission is not only to offer a wide assortment of products for children, but also to improve quality of life for children and entire families, and to take care of the environment for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In 2021, Detsky Mir developed and approved a Sustainability Strategy.<\/strong> It sets out our key priorities and focus areas in the context of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/climatechange\/17-goals-to-transform-our-world\">UN\u00a0SDGs<\/a>, as well as KPIs and a high-level road map to achieve those.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sustainable development priorities and focus areas were defined based on an analysis of <strong>the Company\u2019s external and internal environments<\/strong>, which included a comparison of strategies being implemented by our Russian and foreign peers, interviews with key data owners, and a review of the annual report and other corporate documents of Detsky Mir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When working out KPIs and setting their baseline and target values, we were guided by key data owners\u2019 input on the current KPI values and suggested targets. We critically evaluated and finalized these data to arrive at ambitious and reasonable KPIs that are in line with the market. All the KPIs were approved by the data owners and the CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We analyzed the sustainability activities Detsky Mir is conducting and planning in order to achieve the KPIs. Following the analysis, we put forward additional high-level initiatives corresponding to the retail sector\u2019s best practices.
