Detsky Mir Takes the Top Spot Among Retailers on Russia’s Best Employers List by Forbes
Detsky Mir Group, the largest specialized children’s goods retailer in Russia and Kazakhstan, ranked 29th on Russia’s 50 Best Employers 2020 List released by Forbes.
In compiling the list, Forbes considered various criteria across the categories of People, Society and Environment. The first category took into account salaries, training, benefits packages and working conditions, while job creation, charitable activities and infrastructure investment fell under the second category. The third category considered companies’ emissions and penalties, resource consumption and environmental policies. Additional points were awarded by an expert panel, which included Forbes Russia’s board members and the heads of top universities.
Detsky Mir ranked 29th overall, thus outperforming all other Russian retailers. Detsky Mir’s social and charitable activities propelled the Company to a top spot in the Society category. The Detsky Mir Charitable Foundation, a part of the Group, takes care of about 550,000 orphans, children with special needs and children from large families each year, and has donated more than RUB 843 million to good causes in 2019 alone.
