«DETSKY MIR» OPENED 5 NEW PLAYROOMS IN NIZHNY NOVGOROD REGION
The charity fund of “Detsky Mir” Group of Companies , Russia’s largest operator of children’s goods, opened 5 playrooms as part of the charity project “Operatsiya igrushky” in medical institutions of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Four playrooms appeared in the “Solnechnaya Polyana” Children’s Sanatorium for patients with disorders of the musculoskeletal system (Diveyevo village) and one more in the “Bolshaya Yelnya” Sanatorium (Bolshaya Yelnya village). The total budget for opening rooms exceeded 1 million rubles.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the monitoring department of the organization of medical care for mothers and children Marina Zaytseva, representatives of the leadership of medical institutions and top management of “Detsky Mir” Group.
«In two sanatoriums there are about 300 children, often they are here for a long time, undergoing treatment or rehabilitation. Despite the state of health, children still remain children: they need to at least temporarily change the atmosphere, play with other children. The presence of playrooms in medical institutions helps reduce stress and accelerates the healing process for babies», – said Marina Zaitseva, head of the monitoring department for the organization of medical care for mothers and children of the Medical Inspection Center.
«We not only open new playrooms for the kids, but also update our previously opened playrooms. We donated new toys and play sets to the “Roika” Children’s tuberculosis sanatorium and the Center for Restorative Medicine and Children’s Rehabilitation. Thus, our rooms are always feel like home, cozy and fun. In total, in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, thanks to the project “Operatsiya igrushky, 11 playrooms have been opened», – said Nadezhda Kiseleva, head of the Department of External and Internal Communications of “Detsky Mir” Group of Companies.
After the official speeches, an interactie soap bubbles show began, in which the children actively participated. The project partners – OJSC “Printing Complex “Pushkinskaya square” and JSC “Egmont Russia Ltd” – presented the kids with entertaining encyclopedias about the world around them.
The opening of playrooms has become an important part of the program of the Second Nizhny Novgorod charity festival “Children’s Kinomay”, which took place in the region from October 26 to 30. Another surprise for the children was master classes from famous actors – volunteers of the “Children’s KinoMay”: Sergei Koleshni, Vitaly Abdulov and Anna Kurkova.
In the playrooms new beautiful furniture, dolls, strollers, designers, cars, educational games, sets for role-playing games and much more are waiting for young patients. Older guys will be interested in sports games: table football, air hockey, bowling. Here is a variety of manuals on the development of speech, memory, thinking and attention, vocabulary on various lexical topics, musical instruments. Every child will find something for himself!
Since the beginning of the year, the «Detsky Mir» Charity Foundation has 81 playrooms. In total, over five years, 370 playrooms have appeared in dozens of cities across the country. Playrooms opened their doors in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Barnaul, Bryansk, Vladikavkaz, Voronezh, Volgograd, Gorno-Altaisk, Grozny and many other Russian cities.
