Kyurdzidis and Svetlova become members of the Detsky Mir Charitable Foundation’s Board of Trustees
The Charitable Foundation of Detsky Mir Group of Companies, the largest retailer of children’s products in Russia, announced the new composition of the Board of Trustees.
Famous Russian actors Euclide Kyurdzidis and Valentina Svetlova decided to join the team of Detsky Mir Charitable Foundation.
“I have long been taking part in various charity projects, including some by invitation of the Detsky Mir Charitable Foundation, so I was very happy to join the Board of Trustees. This step will help me support the new social initiatives of the Foundation, and help assist those who need our care,” said Euclide Kyurdzidis, theater and film actor, Distinguished Artist of Russia.
“The activities of Detsky Mir Charitable Foundation are in much demand. They help orphans, children with severe diseases, help kids from orphanages choose good professions, open playrooms in hospitals, and much more. I am confident that cooperating with the Fund will allow us to improve our common results, and provide more children with the care they need,” said Valentina Svetlova, actress of film and theater, Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation, and winner of the State Prize.
The goals of “star” volunteers include promoting the Fund’s programs, attracting public attention to the lives of at-risk and sick children.
Lidia Evtushenkova, President of the Children’s CinemaMay Charity Foundation, became a member of the Fund’s Board of Trustees in 2018. Charity foundations have a long history of cooperation and dozens of jointly implemented social projects.
General Director of the Detsky Mir Group of Companies Vladimir Chirakhov, and Director of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg Vladimir Gusev are also members of the Board of Trustees of the Fund.
