«DETSKY MIR» GROUP OF COMPANIES OPENED THE THIRD “DETMIR” STORE IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS
29.03.2019 Moscow, RUSSIA. Gomel, BELARUS – The «Detsky Mir» Group of Companies (MOEX: DSKY) – Russia’s largest retailer of children’s goods, announces the opening of its third store in Belarus.
The third store of the retail network «Detmir» which area is 1164 sq. m opened in Minsk in the “EXPOBEL” shopping center at the intersection of the Logoisk road and the Minsk ring road, Borovaya 5, MKAD
The network «Detmir» in Belarus offers a wide range of products for children from 0 to 12 years old: clothes and shoes, products and food for newborns, toys for boys and girls, products for children and adolescents – more than 30 thousand items in total. Along with global manufacturers, Belarusian goods are presented on the shelves of the “Detmir” store.
The “Detsky Mir” company has been effectively cooperating with Belarusian manufacturers since 2013. Belarusian toys, goods for sport and recreation, large-sized goods and clothing, in particular, school uniforms and hosiery, are in great demand. At the end of 2018, the volume of Belarusian goods sold in the “Detsky Mir” retail chain in Russia amounted to more than 400 million Russian rubles.
In Belarus, the share of Belarusian products in the “Baby Food” category is about 35%. The company plans to increase the share of Belarusian goods on the shelves of stores, setting a goal to achieve the maximum possible in each product category.
In the Republic of Belarus “Detmir” conducts active charity activities, that are aimed at helping children in difficult life situations. The wards of the Company are the State Institution “Republican Children’s Hospital of Medical Rehabilitation” – “Detmir” opens here 3 game roomsб as well as Orphanage №3 “Pearl” and Children’s House №1 for children with organic lesions of the central nervous system and psyche, as well as International public organization “SOS- children’s villages” (Belarus).
In the framework of the charity event “Uchavstvyite!” collection of necessary things for pupils of thee social institutions was organized in the “Detmir” stores. Anyone can buy the necessary goods for children and leave it in a special arena, located at the store’s checkout. The goal of the action is to improve the quality of life of children in social institutions of Belarus.
On March 30, employees of Detmir stores will take part in a charitable work for the first time. The event will be held in GUO “Orphanage №3 of Minsk “Zhemchuzhinka”, where employees of the ‘Detmir” stores located in the “Euroopt” and “Coolman” shopping centers, together with the children, will improve the territory. The tradition of holding large-scale volunteer work days int the Group of Companies “Detsky Mir” has existed for more than 5 years. During this time, the Company has helped to equip the territory of hundreds of children’s homes in dozens of cities in Russia and Kazakhstan.
